this instance of cobalt is hosted by canine.tools. you can read more about the canine.tools project here.

this subdomain is proxied through cloudflare to prevent abuse from bots & scrapers against the api. all outbound requests are on a rotating proxy to bypass bans. this can lead to slow downloads sometimes.

api keys

api keys are used to allow api access to your software. however, api keys are given by request and only under certain conditions:

  • no commercial use of any kind. this means you cannot use this api for your own "downloader" with ads
  • no use for ai training
  • no spam requests
  • all requests must contain a user agent describing the application
  • must follow these terms
keys can be revoked at any point under the discretion of this instance owner. to request an api key, please email [email protected]. when requesting an api key, please tell us your reason, software, and user agent you wish to use. contact requests via other means will be ignored.
